I live in Philadelphia, by way of Brooklyn and Washington, D.C. I love reading; fitness; rainbow sprinkles; bright lipstick; watching embarrassing television; exploring the neighborhood with my husband Matt, my son Will, and my golden retriever Irv; and laughing at my own jokes. After five years surrounded by books working in (what seemed like) a dream corporate publishing job, I left my company in September 2016 to pursue my first love: writing.
My work has appeared in Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Real Simple, Insider, Medium, HelloGiggles, The Kitchn, New York Post, Bustle, Brit + Co, Racked, Ravishly, and more. I’ve also worked closely with several brands and businesses on managing their blog and web content, and partnered with first-time authors on developing their manuscripts. I have my own book project in the works, too!
I’m the creator, host, and producer of the bookish, feminist-y, nostalgic SSR Podcast, which launched in June 2018. Since then, the show has played host to New York Times bestselling authors and well-known pop culture commentators.
I earned my MFA in Fiction from Temple University in May 2022. My debut novel is due from Grand Central Press in early 2026.
